Entrance coaching · 2020
A coaching institute that had no way to run classes or exams under lockdown kept operating — classes, mock tests and admissions included — on a system and an app under its own name.
Under lockdown the institute had no plan for how to conduct classes at all. It fell back on WhatsApp, which created a second problem: sending question papers and study material through a chat app while keeping the material confidential is not workable. There was no framework for running or evaluating mock tests and exams, and the admission process for new batches had stopped.
Edumia set up an e-learning and education management system, including a mobile app published under the institute's own name, so classes, assessments and admissions could run remotely without the material being passed around by chat.
The institute kept teaching its batches, set and evaluated assessments, and reopened admissions for new classes while its building was shut.
