Entrance coaching · 2020
A coaching academy covering JAM, JRF and NET aspirants across five districts moved its entire programme online, removing the travel that was consuming its founder's week.
The founder, Mr. Shejith Edathil, travelled from Thrissur to Kannur across five districts every week to teach, and students travelled between districts to attend — so both sides lost days to travel. Coaching was also delivered through partner colleges, each with its own allocated timing, which was difficult to hold together, and offline sessions were limited by seating capacity. Travel left the founder little time for preparation or for anything else.
Edumia supported the launch of Kerala's first online classes for JAM, JRF and NET examinations, putting the course online so a session is no longer tied to a room, a city or a fixed hour, and partner-college batches could be served without the founder being physically present in each.
Seat capacity stopped limiting how many students could attend a session, and the founder's week was returned to teaching and preparation rather than driving between districts.

A coaching institute that had no way to run classes or exams under lockdown kept operating — classes, mock tests and admissions included — on a system and an app under its own name.
